Another important thing is the distance of the grounded cables. Proper distance must be maintained between the different cables when they are grounded. This distance can help you to avoid the most annoying problem of ground loops. The second most important thing to remember is that, in case of CAT 6 cables, the sheath is dielectric and actually carries the wave energy and when we strip the sheath back more than the recommended amount, it can effectively change the impedance of the twisted pair. This is something that can adversely affect their performance.
